Design Within Studio’s mission focuses on adaptive reuse and interior architecture of existing buildings to understand the integrity of existing spaces and their materials while responding to environmental and sustainability challenges.
The Colonial
The key goal was to maintain the existing historical architectural style, materials, and building footprint while updating the daily function, introducing additional light, and switching to sustainable energy.
